The Mercy Health- Orthopaedics, Neurology and Spine Center is dedicated to caring for elective joint, spine and stroke patients.
The center is designed to provide specialized care and offers unique services such as a nurse navigator to guide patients through their care. .
Additionally, the unit allows nurses to have a dedicated focus on these specific conditions and will optimize the coordination of care with the rehabilitation team.
At Mercy, you will find a full complement of services for patients who have had a stroke or other neurological diagnosis. Our board-certified neurologists have a depth of experience treating such conditions as:
- Parkinson's disease
- Seizure disorders
- Myasthenia Gravis
- Subdural hematomas
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA)
From the emergency room through rehabilitation, Mercy's experienced team is trained to rapidly assess symptoms and immediately begin treatment to help minimize damage and maintain quality of life.
The neuroscience unit has the ability to monitor a patient’s heart activity through telemetry, so we are able to care for patients who have cardiac diagnoses that require monitoring.
